Ten thousand women from the 44 local government areas of Kano State are set to benefit from a skills acquisition programme organized by the Kano State Traders Association.
The Chairman of the association, Ambassador Auwalu Gabari Jakada, announced this during the flag-off ceremony held at Kabiru Sani Kwangila area in Kano metropolis.

He explained that married women and young ladies would receive training in various entrepreneurial skills, including the production of body creams, soaps, baby-care products, cosmetics and other daily-use household items within their respective local government areas.
Ambassador Jakada commended Alhaji Kabiru Sani Kwangila for sponsoring the training and for his commitment to empowering 10,000 women, noting that the initiative would boost the local economy and support the Kano State Government’s economic development agenda.
In her remarks, the lead trainer, Hajiya Munnira Ya’u Abubakar, said the participants would undergo a 14-day intensive training programme. She added that certificates of completion would be issued within 72 hours after the end of the training, giving beneficiaries immediate documentation to support their entrepreneurship efforts.
Some of the beneficiaries who have already begun the training, including Fatima Isa and Ladi Labaran, expressed gratitude to the sponsors and pledged to make good use of the opportunity to acquire sustainable livelihood skills.
