The Kano State Ministry for local Government presented N360 billion, N365 million as 44 local government councils proposed budget for 2024.
This is contained in a letter signed by the commissioner to the ministry, who doubles as the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, read by the Speaker Kano State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Jibril Isma’il Fangore in plenary session this Monday.
The letter stated the provision of 31% as personnel cost, 20% overhead cost and 49% as capital cost.

The house set aside next Wednesday for LGAs to appear before the house for their budget defence.
Similarly the ministry for has presented 27.9 Billion Naira as Amendment Bill for the year 2023.

Also the house Received Audited report of Gaya and Karaye emirates councils year 2021 and 2022 from Local government Auditor General Tijjani Abdullahi.
The house presented the report to the standing committee on public account for more deliberations.
