Avoid Collecting, Giving Money For Posting – Comm Doguwa Advices Staff

Kano State Commissioner of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa has strongly advised staff of the ministry to desist from collecting or giving money in the name of posting for selfish reason.

In a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Ministry, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru said Umar Doguwa gave the advice while addressing Senior Staff of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) during a management meeting held at the Board Conference Hall.

The Commissioner hinted that corruption has remained one of the key factor that undermines progress of education sector in any society, pointing out that it is higher time to shun away from the unlawful act and join hands in promoting the sector.

Doguwa who emphasized that Kano and it’s people are the main focus of the present administration of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, called on the staff to work hard to join the crusade towards achieving the set objectives.

” We are not here to make money but rather to make Kano great, so government would not take it lightly with any staff found collecting or giving money for posting, and by doing so, the person responsible would be dismissed from work.

” We want to you to redouble effort in discharging your duty, avoid being partisan and this government is ready to welcome any staff willing to help in promoting the education sector ” Doguwa assured.

Kano Conveys 267 Students To 11 States On Exchange Programme

Earlier, the Executive Chairman State Universal Education Board Malam Kabiru Yusuf commended the Executive Governor of Kano State Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for given all the necessary support to the Board which according to him, had progressively changed its operation.

Malam Kabir assured the Commissioner of the staff continues commitment toward ensuring success of primary education in the state.
