Kano Govt Agrees To Pay 20k For Civil Servants, 15k For Pensioners

The Kano State Government has agreed to partner state and local government civil servants in the monthly payment of Twenty Thousand Naira as a support to minimize the hardship of fuel subsidy removal from December 2023.
The State Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Mubarak Buba Yarima stated this in a statement.

According to the statement which was signed by the Secretary of the union, Comrade Abdu Usman Yalo said the agreement came after serious discussions with the Committe set up by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on the issue.
It added that as the civil servants assured to receive 20k, the pensioners will also receive Fiffteen Thousand Naira each Month effective from 1st December 2023.

The statement thanked kano state government and chairman of the Committe Comrade Baffa Sani Gaya, Special Adviser on labour matters and members as well as Labour leaders involved to arrived at the decision.
