The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria PASAN kano state council is set to join indefinite strike next Monday 30th October, 2023.
The Chairman of the council Comrade Bashir Yahaya stated this in a voice note sent to our correspondant.
He said the decision is to comply with the directives of National Body of the union.
Comrade Bashir Yahaya charged all staff of kano state house of Assembly to shut down operations from next Monday until purther notice.
In a statementment by the National chairman of the Union Comrade Muhammed Usman and released on 24th October 2023 quoted; ”This is to notify the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force for commencement of nationwide industrial action by our great union Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) after the expiration of 21 days ultimatum given the government to implement Financial Autonomy in all the legislative Houses of the Country, which was further extended by one week and ended 27th October, 2023.
”The industrial action which will commence on Monday 30th October 2023 is peaceful and we request Police protection for the safety of our members during the period of the industrial action”.

The statement directed all branch of the union at National, 36 states, FCT and local governments levels to shut down services until demands have achieved.
