End of bad Governance Protest: Wudil Local Govt Caretaker Vows To Search, Prosecute Secretariat Vandalizers

The Wudil Local Government Area Chairperson of the Caretaker Committee, Hajiya Bilkisu Yakubu Indabo condemned the heinous act on Council Secretariat which has been vandalized by some protesters, as well as looting all goods belongs to the public in the building.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, the Chairperson vowed to track down the perpetrators to face wrath of the law, as already the government has ordered security operatives to bring them into book.
In a lengthy statement she made at a press briefing, our reporter quoted; “I invited the media to brief you on what happened in Wudil Local Government during the protest.

According to her… “In my position as the Caretaker Chairperson of Wudil Local Government area I hereby condemn vandalization and looting of government properties during the anti bad governance protest held on 1st August 2024 in Kano.
“I would like to inform you that during this demonstration, some miscreants used this opportunity to steall 2,444 bags offertilizers 50 sewing machines, roofing sheets of the local Government Secretariat and burnt down some parts of the secretariat offices as well as all the equipment in the offices.
“I am confident that Wudi community are peace loving people and are always passionate about the development of the local government and will not therefore participate in any act of protest, public disturbance or looting of government properties.
“As a result of this therefore we have given orders to security agencies to track down perpetrators of this heinous acts in all knock and corners of area and by extension Kano state for prosecution.
“I am also warning all those who may have intension to perpetrate such act in Wudil Local Government to refrain from doing so because the government will not fold its arms and watch such unpatriotic groups to vandalize and loot public properties.
“While calling on parents to warn their children against joining bad elements for peace and tranquility of in the area.
“I also called on the people of Wudil Local Government to avoid all divisive tendencies especially in politics, instead they should focus on inclusive politics for the development of the area.
“I pray that Almighty Allah would continue to guide governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, his deputy Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo and NNPP Leader Engr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso for their sacrifice and dedication to ensure good governance in Kano and Nigeria at large”.
The Chairperson concluded that may Allah SWT bless Wudil, Kano state and Nigeria in general. “May His peace and blessings continue to reign supreme in all our undertakings, ameen” she said.
