NSCDC Arrests 11 Suspected hoodlums with Weapons in Kano.

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, have arrested 11 suspected hoodlums in the Mariri area of Kumbotso Local Government Area for allegedly attacking residents and a civil defence outpost.
According to a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the suspects were apprehended after reportedly going on a rampage at about 01:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, shortly after attending a local traditional festival.

Armed with dangerous local weapons, the gang was said to have attacked individuals on sight and dispossessed them of their belongings. The statement further revealed that the suspects also invaded a nearby NSCDC outpost in Mariri, where they assaulted an officer, leaving him with a fracture.
The arrested suspects include: Idris Muhd (20), Abubakar Shuaibu (24), Sagiru Hassan Yusuf (25), Idris Muhammad Morata (25), Anas Rabiu (23), Yahaya Muhd Yahaya (29), Khalid Idris (28), Mohd Adamu (19), Muktar Auwal Muktar (22), Salim Muktar (18), and Saifullahi Nuhu (18).
Recovered items include six cutlasses/swords and a pair of scissors.
The Corps’ Intelligence and Investigation Department has concluded all necessary investigations, and the suspects will be charged in court.
The State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to combating criminal activities, maintaining public peace, and protecting critical national assets and infrastructure.
