Kano State Government has said it designed in its 2024 budget, general renovation of cemeteries across the state.
The Commissioner Ministry for Rural and Community Development, Ambassador Hamza Safiyanu Kachako stated this at the Flagged up of cemeteries sanitation exercise held Sunday at Tarauni cemetery.
The Commissioner said the provision in the budget are fencing, contruction of drainages, boreholes and supply of modern working equipments.
Amb. Kachako who is acting Commissioner of Youth and sports, said the ministry has supplied all the working equipments for community service committees, he also assured to support them for proper clearing of the cemetery sites and other community services.
On his part, the state Chairman of the cemetery Committe, the District head of Tarauni sarkin Fadar Kano, Malam Ado Kurawa thanked governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, commissioner Hamza Safiyanu Kachako and permanent secretary Alh. Musa Yahaya Bichi for their dedication and commitments toward sanitation of cemeteries.

The state Chairman of community service central working communities Alh. Bashari Nasidi who commended the commissioner for maximum support to their services, pledged to ensure success of the exercise.
Earlier, the permanent secretary of the ministry Alh. Musa Yahaya Bichi said the similar exercise will take place at all cemeteries in metropolis.
