Kano House Of Assembly Approves Gov Abba Kabir To Appoint 10 More SAs

 The Kano State House of Assembly has approved Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to appoint 10 additional Special Advisers, in response to his request sent to the house.

The majority leader of the house said the request of the appointment is to give the Governor opportunity to include the appointees in his struggle for good governance.

Similarly, the house invited the newly appointed Chairman of KANSIEC Prof. Sani Lawan Malumfashi and 7 other members of the commission sent by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for screening on Wednesday.

Today’s sitting presided by the Speaker Alh. Jibril Isma’il Fangore has adopted the report presented by the standing committee on Appropriation on the proposed 2024 State Government Budget.

Presenting the report, the chairman of the committee, member representing Ungogo Constituency Alh. Aminu Sa’adu Ungogo said the committee recommends to increase the size of the budget to N437 Billion, N338 Million.

He said the committee recommends to spend 259 Billion as capital expenditure, while recurrent 157 Billion and inject One Billion, One Hundred and Thirty Million Naira projects out of public request during public hearing.

At same vein, the house adopted the report presented by the chairman standing committee on Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, member representing Sumaila Alh. Zubairu Hamza Massu on proposed budget for 44 Local Government Councils of 2024, where the committee recommends to stand at the proposed figure of N360 Billion and N365 Million, with provisions of 53% of capital and 47% recurrent expenditures.
