The kano State Government has planned to construct sports centers at Wudil and Rogo local government areas.
The Acting Commissioner Ministry of Youth and Sports Ambassador Hamza Safiyanu Kachako stated this while defending proposed budget of the ministry at State House of Assembly.
Amb. Kachako who is also the Commissioner Ministry of Rural and Community Development, said the ministry also designed to empower thousands of youth on sports activities, supply of modern sports facilities, renovation of initial sports centers as well as engaging partners for the development of the sector.
On his part the Director General of Youth Directorate Alh. Salisu Abdullahi Kabo said the agency plans to train youth on self reliance programs.
Speaking at the house after budget defence, the Executive Secretary of Kano State Censorship Board Alh. Abba Almustafa said the budget of the agency will focus on training and retraining of Kanny Wood stars, fighting against spreading immoral act in Films, publication, broadcast and online media as well as public places for good orientation in the society.
Responding after their budget defence, the chairman of Kano State Sports Commission Alh. Bala Sani Shehu and his counterpart of Kano Pillars Alh. Umar Babangida Little says profer arrangements had been made to upgrade sports activities in the state in 2024 budget.
