Special Advisers Endorse Gov Yusuf For Second Term, Commends Style Of Leadership

The Special Advisers Forum of Kano State has passed an unanimous vote of confidence on Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, lauding his visionary and people-oriented leadership which, according to the group, has brought remarkable transformation across key sectors of the state.
Addressing journalists at the Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat, the Chairman of the Forum, the special adviser on labour matters Comrade Baffa Sani Gaya, said the endorsement reflects Governor Yusuf’s “unwavering commitment to good governance, accountability, and inclusive development” since assuming office in May 2023.
Comrade Gaya highlighted the administration’s notable achievements in fiscal management, education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, commerce, and social welfare.

According to him, the government has strengthened financial discipline through the introduction of the Treasury Single Account (TSA), ensured prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and cleared over ₦28 billion in outstanding gratuities and death benefits.
In the education sector, the forum commended the governor for declaring a state of emergency, recruiting thousands of teachers, establishing new institutions, and sponsoring 1,001 first-class graduates for postgraduate studies abroad.
On healthcare, the advisers praised the establishment of the Kano State Centre for Disease Control, recruitment of medical personnel, provision of free maternal healthcare, and the introduction of the Abba-Care scheme for vulnerable citizens.
The forum also acknowledged the administration’s strides in infrastructure development, citing ongoing flyover and road construction projects, urban renewal initiatives, and the installation of solar-powered streetlights and modern traffic control systems.

In the agricultural sector, the group applauded the recruitment of 1,000 extension workers, distribution of over 500 trucks of fertilizer, and empowerment of more than 100,000 farmers through various support programs.
Similarly, the forum commended the revival of garment industries, the establishment of a ₦5 billion Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) loan scheme in collaboration with the Bank of Industry, and monthly empowerment programs benefiting over 5,000 women and youths.
Reaffirming its loyalty and commitment to the governor, the Special Advisers Forum described Abba Kabir Yusuf as “a transformational and inclusive leader who has repositioned Kano for sustainable growth and development.”
The forum concluded by endorsing Governor Yusuf for a second term, pledging continued support for his developmental agenda for the people of Kano State.
