TUC, NLC Kano Councils Demands KNSG To Pay N35,000 Additional Salary, N25,000 Cash For Pensioners

The Kano State Councils of Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has demanded the implementation by the Kano State Government, of Thirty Five Thousand Naira temporary salary for civil servants in the state and Twenty Five Thousand conditional cash transfer for pensioners, as agreed by the federal government and national labour unions pending to the proposed new salary scale.

The State TUC Chairman Comrade Mubarak Buba Yarima stated this in a voice note forwarded to our correspondent in Kano.

He said that the state councils of TUC and NLC have jointly written the request as directed by the National body of both of the unions.

The Labour unions also requested for tax subsidy/waver to the companies in the state to serve as relief and give chance to increase salary for their staffs.

Comrade Mubarak Yarima added that they requested 3 majors out of 15 issues to move step by step.

TUC Threatens To Embark Indefinite Strike If FG’s Promises Not Fulfilled

The TUC state council chairman further called on government to implement the new policy within 2 weeks ultimatum for the development of the people in the state.
