2024 Budget : CSOs Urges KNHA To Consider Public Demands

The Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Community Development Associations (CDAs) who participated in public hearing on 2024 proposed state government budget, expresses demand for effective implementation of the provisions in education, health, farming, roads networks, water supply and establishment of vocational training centers.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Kabir Hamisu Kura of Kano Accountability Forum on Education said there is needs for more overhead funds to take care of regular supervision of schools, retraining, mobility and accommodations for teachers, supervisors as well as additional welfare.

On her part Dr. Maryam Garba Usman of Resource Center for Human Rights and Civic Education presented demands on taking more care of Kano Children Home Nassarawa, Torrey Homes, orpharn and reformatory centers expecially their health condition, education and vocational training for self reliance.
Speaking after imput of 35 presenters from the CSOs, the Vice Chairman standing committee on Appropriation, member representing Minjibir Alh. Abdul Abdulhamid said the participants response will be digested and considerable.

The chairman of the occasion, the Majority Leader, also a Member representing Dala constituency Alh. Lawan Hussaini Chediyar ‘Yan Gurasa who made a commendable remark on public suggestions and feedback on the proposed 2024 budget, said it will make fruitful result as it was done last year in which the house inject over one billion Naira in the budget to accommodate public demands.
