The Kano state Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) have designed to spend 3.9 Billion Naira in its 2024 budget.
The Managing Director of the Board Amadu Haruna Zago stated this while briefing newsmen shortly after defending the proposed budget of the agency at state house of Assembly.
He said the projects includes fuel, trucks and staff services as well as provision of laws to accommodate public participation on waste management and punishment for violators.
The project coordinator of Kano Afforestation Alh. Aminu Kabir who also appeared at the house for budget defence, said the agency plans to spend N410 Million on tree plantation, for human development, erosion control and climate change.
Also, the state coordinator of Kano Agro Climatic Resilience In Semi-Arid Lanscafes ‘ACRESAL’ Dr. Dahiru Mohd Hashim said the project requested to spend 1 billion Naira in 2024 proposed budget for improvements of farming, portable water supply and environmental sanitation.

Similarly, the Director Kano sate Fire Service Malam Hassan has appeared before the committee on works for the agency’s budget defence.
