*New 3 Brigade Commander, NSCDC Kano Pledge Stronger Security Collaboration.

The newly deployed Commander of 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Bukavo Barracks, Brigadier General S.A. Jimoh, has paid a courtesy visit to the Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, to strengthen inter-agency ties.

During the visit on June 30, 2026, Brig. Gen. Jimoh commended the NSCDC for its role in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure in Kano. He described Corps personnel as dedicated, enthusiastic, and highly professional, saying their commitment has helped sustain peace and security.

In a statement signed by SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the public relations officer of the command said the Commander stressed the need for sustained cooperation among security agencies to tackle emerging threats and assured the NSCDC of the Nigerian Army’s continued support to keep Kano safe.

In response, NSCDC Kano State Commandant, Commandant Mohammed Hassan Agalama IION, welcomed the visit and described the Army-NSCDC relationship as cordial, productive, and based on mutual respect.

Commandant Agalama said effective security depends on collaboration, synergy, and intelligence sharing. He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to working closely with the Army to discharge its mandate and expressed confidence that the partnership would grow stronger for national security and public safety.
